Tau Clan

Clan Restructure and Roleplay Expansion:

The clan is now being restructured and built into a single central forum (to be known as 'Clan Central'), along with many age limitations being scrapped or changed. Along side this, the Roleplay Community section of Tau Clan is going to be expanded due to popular demand onto a single Garry's Mod Roleplay server (roleplay concept still yet to be decided). Hope to see you keeping up-to-date with all that happens with tau clan.   

How we came to be:

We Originally started out life as a dedicated Star Trek Online roleplaying clan or 'fleet'. A few weeks after the release of Star Trek Online a few of us started to get involved in different games and so it was decided to expand the then 'Tau Fleet' into a multigaming clan, keeping the Tau name to identify us.   

Our structure:

Tau Fleet was our Star Trek Online branch which was unfortunately ended in late February 2010. The rest of our branches and all future branches to be are casual gaming clans, that get involved in leagues, friendly interclan matches and internal squad matches. Each branch of the clan is run by 1 or 2 clan leaders while the overall clan is run by the clan founder, with senior members acting as squad leaders during matches and such. Our roleplay side of the board is ran as a community by the Clan Founder.  

Recruitment:

Recruitment is dealt with by each branches individual Clan Leader(s) on our forums, where a simple application is all that is required for you to join. We do put our new members through a 2 week provisional membership for security purposes, and to see whether or not new members will fit in.  

We normally accept members of the age of 15 and upwards, although no member under the age of 18 will become a senior member of any of the branches. We will make exceptions for players who want to join Tau Clan who are 14 years of age or older depending on their maturity and general behaviour. Anyone of the age of 13 and under we will turn away.  

Our definition of casual gaming:

We generally expect our members to be active both ingame on our servers where applicable and on our forums depending on which branches they are members of, although we do not expect our members to play religiously all hours god sends. Our activity policy goes as so:
Ingame activity must be a minimum of 5 hours per week, and members must login to the forums once or twice a week at least. While ingame we also expect our members to be in our teamspeak 3 server.  

Members do not have to take part in any leagues or matches that we may and will take part in, although we do hope that most of you will do.  

Roleplay:

Due to popular demand for a good Garry's Mod roleplay server, Tau Clan is now expanding its forum roleplay community to include a new garry's mod roleplay section, and eventual server.
